Most fruit machine companies swap machines around every couple of months don't they? Will this not be expected at your site?

Also I was under the impression that you weren't allowed to install fruit machines on a 50/50 profit share? Has the legislation changed? If so I might well look at getting back into it.

you can do 50/50 now as the rules changed in 2005 gambling act.
There is no Amusement Machine License Duty anymore, it has been replaced by MGD (machine games duty which is 20% VAT on either coin in or actual profits, not sure TBH)
Thing that put me off fruit machines is novelty wears off so quick and you really need to keep changing equipment round to keep site happy and need a special operators license to buy and sell these machines at considerable cost, not sure of exact figure but you need the license to sell on eBay now and even Gumtree I have been told?

From what I've been told the gaming duty is 20% of take, so the split with the landlord is actually 40/40 (although i've never being very good at figures... your honour ;) ). I've kinda put the fruit machines on the back burner till after christmas as I want to get some more towers out, but will be returning to it in the new year.

If I can get at least another two I can hire a van twice a year and swap them round, also being a fan of fruit machines I choose the machine very carefully that I know will keep people intersted.
Monopoly/cluedo/some deal or no deal/ or most of the machines with three trails are the best. The random offer machines are also a must as it's like having a game within a game!!

How is the fruity going?
Do you need a license to put a machine in a premises even if the pub has a license for a machine?
