Bulk/ Bulk Vending Products

Post by Paul@HurleysFoods »

Hi everyone.
As many people self pack and have bulk vendors, I thought I would take the chance to send over Hurleys prices for selling the products we use in bulk format.
We get great discounts and would hope that the prices on the list would be cheaper than you can get at your suppliers in some instances. They can be ordered on their own or with our finished Hurleys stock to save on time spent at the wholesaler and indeed fuel/ delivery charges.
Best regards, Paul.

I wish someone would do a price list with VAT already added. All I want to know is what I need to pay in total without having to do maths lol.
Maybe start a petition for a VAT inclusive price list ..... why do wholesalers do this by the way ?? ( genuine question )

Because to those VAT registered like Hurleys, they give the VAT to the tax man, they dont get to keep it.
You only have to multiply by 1.2 to get the VAT inclusive figure.

I know they dont keep the VAT but it cant be hard to publish a pricelist that shows what you have to pay to get a product ... tesco and asda cant keep the vat either but it doesnt get added when you get to the till ... Forget I mentioned it. Wasnt that big a deal anyway ... just wondered why its done that way

It's because it's business to business transactions. If you where VAT registered to want the none VAT list.
Asda is business to end user, so the end user foots the VAT bill so needs to know the full amount.

I agree that in our industry probably 90% of us aren't VAT registered so an all inclusive price list would be better.
