Keys on Ebay : Seller Irresponsible?

Post by david@naughtyvend »

What's your opinion about others selling vending machine keys?

There's a listing on eBay 07th September 2011 with about three days left to run, the fella is selling five random keys for a quid but considering that many units utilise a limited series or indeed may be mastered there is potential of criminality. A few attempts, the buyer gets lucky and some poor sod could lose thousands...

Yes I saw that, but he is selling 5 random keys for £1. What use is that to anyone?

agreed that this add is pointless but I have bought keys this way and never been asked the reason why. We have to buy spares somewhere

These are random keys though are they not rather than specific key numbers? So not parts as such...

There are certain manufacturers whom I'll not mention due implications and security, where a limited series was issued by the lock producer i.e. perhaps a dozen keys open all the vending machines ever sold...
