This is only what we were told by corporate @ H4H mate, surely its better that people are aware of the way that H4H want this conducted.

The last thing operators need is... a operator to do it the wrong way and the facility being withdrawn altogether.
Kris,

I dont want to get drawn into an arguement about this issue, as said in the pm. If tubz vending are not getting involved with this then fair enough but it is not their job to police the whole charity h4h issue.

Individuals and companies Im sure will do their research and make the appropriate phone calls before embarking on the charity side of things and Im sure that GUy is well aware of any issues that H4h have when working with tower vendors.

If anyone should be offering advice then I myself think it would be best coming from Guy@bigvend as he is the person whom has had most contact with H4, not from a company that is not getting involved with it.

Yes I agree Matt. All enquiries should have been directed thru Guy since he was the original instigator.

Ok, just to add my piece, so everyone knows where I stand.

I have personally previously donated some money to H4H from my own pocket (a few thousand pounds of sponsorship to others running marathons etc mainly) since I have a brother and a brother-in-law in the forces, both of whom are currently in active service in the Middle-East.

Obviously a number of our machines previously ran with Jellybean Campaign stickers, but I felt that having an alternative with more appeal to our local sites would be more useful. Since we cover the South of England it is a very 'Conservative' area and in fact we cover many military areas, including Aldershot.

Obviously it was important that any arrangement was properly approved by H4H so I contacted them and explained what tower vending was, how it often donated to Charity as part of the arrangements and they were keen to be involved. They were also happy for other operators to be involved, provided it was approved by them.

We also agreed that all future operators would come direct to them for approval. I am not coordinating this and have no part in any future registrations. This was not started by me as a scheme for my personal benefit (ie I sell sites/machines/siting etc), but was done as a free and open effort to benefit every operator in this business with no hidden agenda.

As I understand it H4H are saying that provided operators register they can use H4H and tell sites that if they choose to have the H4H stickers they will be donating all or part of their commission to H4H (min 10%). A siting firm can therefore ring a site and offer a machine on commission, with an alternative choice to donate for H4H. What a siting firm CANNOT do is ring and claim to be from H4H.

Just a wee input...

When we designed our "V Track RPS" system a few years ago which is a product level commission and sales trending piece of software specifically for vending, we included a donate to charity option for 0% to 100% of the venue commission - the idea being we'd annually donate from a charity account to worthy causes rather than any specific one.

Number of takers out of all national and regional accounts, none. General feedback was that the venues still wanted their commission but were happy to donate only if we made the donation from our profits and / or matched any share the venue gave away in limited instances. Some local venues were more willing but few and far between, end of the day they wanted their money...

I think it's a noble idea guys and good luck with this, hope you raise some cash.

dave,

bit different with what you are vending to the tubs mate..

try putting just a condom macj=hine in and saying that the commision goes to aids related charities, that will work but i dont see a blow up sheep doing the same.

I dont know, selling blow up sheep and donating money to saving Arthritc Welsh Mining Donkeys is a good cause in my book. It would go down well this side of the Bridge.
