Buying a tubz vending round

Post by Style »

Hi, Do any Hurleys customers on here have experience of buying a round from someone who had purchased as a tubz vending franchise/bundle.

Ive heard historically that tubz vending have tried to claim ownership of the sites and cause problems.

Im interested to hear peoples expiriences, good and bad.

Thanks in andvance.

Hi Andy,
I bought part of a tubz vending round a couple of years ago now, and to be honest tubz vending didn't try to interfere with any of the sites. It was a guy called Gary I think, and he bought 40 machines from tubz vending and only got about 28 sited. I think I bought 8, and Dan from Brid bought 20, plus some spare machines he had left.

I have heard from people in the past that they used to try phoning the sites and getting them to throw your machine out and have it replaced by one of theirs, but to give them their dues they didn't seem to try it with the one's I bought.

Thanks guys. I bought this round, went out visiting some sites today. First couple were good then I turn up at a builders merchant. The machine had been full but had only one row of chocolate (rolo) which was completely empty, everything else was kids sweets, ie pencils, fizzys etc, nothing sold. Not even any of the flashing balls had been bought by the builders who obviously like chocolate. Its now filled 6 high with 2 rows of rolos, plus maestros, toblerone and eggs. Oh and I took out the flashing balls!

I can't believe builders don't like flashing balls and Drumstick squashies!!

I have seen a lot of tubz vending machines recently with totally dreadful stock choices in them, just goes to show that for all their ritz and glitz marketing they don't even get the basics right...

You can hardly blame tubz vending for what stock operators place in their machines!

The poor guy obviously did not understand the industry well enough hence why he sold up. Hopefully Style you can now turn those sites into really profitable ones!

Totally agree with vendition - looks like this is purely an operator problem etc!

I bought a machine in one of the roughest pubs in the area,no women or kids go in the pub it's purely complete p--s heads who drink there.the guy I bought the machine off had put in a row of flashing balls which I thought was a complete joke. On my first collection all the flashing balls had sold and on the second collection they had all sold, so I put two rows of flashing balls in and 6 months later they still sell nearly two rows every collection. I have no idea why and don't stay there long enough to ask as its not the kind of place you want to stay for too long.

my experience this sort of stuff sells in rough pubs because the guys get them for the wife/kids when they come home ****** they can say "look, i brought something for you" and takes the heat off them a bit.
