New plastic barrels for sweet towers
Hi guys
Has anyone had the new plastic barrels for the towers yet? Just want to know if anyone has fitted them as I don't have a scooby doo!!! Seems like you have to get the whole casing out which is bolted in to the machine where as before you use to take the old outer barrel off and just replace which was easy.
If anyone has done this would be grateful to know and also are they any good to vend?

Hi Lee
yes, can be done, but its a right pain, total strip down job!
Why are you thinking of putting plastic barrels in your machine, is there a problem with the metal ones??

Re: New plastic barrels for sweet towers
Needed some barrels and got the plastic ones nige, was told they were better than metal!!! Did you have to strip down the rivets that are connected to the barrel? If so that looks a pain, what type of tool did you use?
I will have a try but if it takes to long then will send them back for metal ones.
Thanks mate
Lee.

Lee I've got some spare metal barrels and also spare tower bases so all you need to do is swap over the segments etc.
How many do you need?
Got someone coming for a few this afternoon so give me a ring and I'll hold some back for you.

Re: New plastic barrels for sweet towers
Hi,
sorry for showing my ignorance but in my defence I am still relatively new.
Could someone guide me on where to actually buy the outer barrels from, I can't find them listed on Rockvend and tubz vending only appear to deal with their franchise customers.
My towers are all second hand and I've had 3 break recently due to the thin strip of metal on the outer barrel snapping and jamming the mechanism.
I can strip it down and remove the debris but without that thin strip, the remaining barrel just jams on the plastic end plate.
I can't afford to loose three machines so assume the only cure is a replacement outer barrel?
Any advice appreciated
thanks
Lynda

Hi,
thank you for replying and for the offer. (Also sorry for hijacking the thread).
Is it not possible to buy just the outer barrels? I feel confident (ish) that I could fit them and I'm assuming it would keep prices down?

Re: New plastic barrels for sweet towers
Unfortunately Rockvend advise that the parts are not available and you need to buy a whole tower base.
Looks like I'll have to strip them for parts but thanks anyway
