How does the heat gun work with the Hurleys stickers? tubz vending stickers are a breeze: peel them off with your nails (easy, in one piece, unless its chocolate footballs) then spray Sticky Stuff Remover Gel on the remaining label glue and give it 6+ mins. Wipe with a wet-one (I buy Dettol 72's when on offer for £1 or £1.50) then repeat if necessary.
Hurleys stickers have me stumped. They're paper-based so rapidly get dog-eared. But they're a bu@@er to peel off and I don't carry hot soapy water with me. Wouldn't a heat gun just burn paper-based labels? Perhaps I should seriously consider carrying a thermos of hot soapy water?

the paper based stickers are cheaper for them to print, but they should really switch to the higher quality ones tubz vending use... there's no way round it that i've found even if you use other techniques there'll be stubborn areas that need hot soapy water and elbow grease. just another one of those things that drains your time.... replace the segment with a clean one and then clean it at home with the radio on when you can be bothered :)

If you have a segment at home already, then use sandpaper to cratch the paper labels. Put sticky stuff remover on, wait until it soaks, and then use an old credit card to remove it.

Dont put any stickers on n the first place. They always end up looking scruffy, makes the machine look crap. I only use labels on chocolate raisins and chocolate peanuts for obvious reasons. No problem changing lines then.

Tempting but the plastic labels don't get scruffy and, I believe, are quite eye-catching.Style wrote:Dont put any stickers on n the first place. Besides, a lot of my machines are 2nd-hand and already look scruffy. Nothing better than some shiny new labels to freshen them up!

Its the 'Remove as much by hand' bit that I have a problem with! That can be quite hard work. Once done, give me Sticky Stuff Remover Gel every time, wait 5-7 mins then wipe with a damp cloth. Repeat if necessary. That gel stuff is magic but unfortunately it doesn't work unless you scrape most of the label off first.Coin Operated Group wrote:Have you tried soaking in polish?
