Crane Grabber for sale in Bath

Post by danflit01 »

Hi all. I tried to list this on ebay but it apparently breached their rules so here's a link to my crane machine on gumtree:

Looks a tidy machine, why wouldn't ebay let you list it?

also you can list it on the for sale section for free here.

Here's the reason they gave me:

After reviewing your eBay account, it appears that you have violated eBay’s Slot Machines policy. We realize you may not have been aware of this policy, or that this may have been a simple oversight, but unfortunately, we had to take the following actions:
- Violating listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.
- We have credited any associated fees to your account.

Without necessary permits from the Gambling Commission, the sale and ownership of gaming machines is highly regulated or forbidden in nearly all circumstances. eBay generally doesn’t allow listings for most gaming machines.

There are three limited exceptions:

1. Gaming machines, regardless of age, that cannot be used to acquire an opportunity to win a prize (i.e. money, article, right or service).

2. Gaming machines that were never functional but were made solely for display purposes.

3. Gaming machines for which the seller states in the listing that they hold a license or permit under the Gambling Act 2005. You must make it clear in the listing that bidders must hold all necessary licenses for the use or ownership of gaming machines.

Plonkers, you don't need a licence for grabbers. :nono:

I tried listing a fruit machine a couple of times as faulty and some other dubious items, ebay actualy send messages out pretending to be from ebay users asking questions to catch you out.
