Who is responsible for pat testing. You or the company where the machine is located?

Re: PAT testing
Just do a google search £2 an item is fair price, but ask them if they do the lead as a seperate test or is it included.

Re: PAT testing
Just do it yourself. There is no law that says it needs to be done by a qualified engineer just a competent person. You dont need to test machines annually but electrical equipment must be maintained safely.Buy a PAT tester off ebay to check earth continuity etc and do the visual check(google it for details). My insurers ask for an annual PAT and are happy for me to do it.As above says it`s all a big con really.

Re: PAT testing
Oh thats good news. I thought it was a legal requirement to have them done regularly. I tried looking for someone but was quoted £40 per site so relieved to hear I don't have to have them done.
Cheers
