Hancocks
Hi there all,
I was wondering if anyone could help. I went to Hancocks about 2 months ago, wasn't a member walked through the door picked up what i wanted and went to the check out, and paid. They did ask my membership number and i explained i was a new business and didn't have any ID ect or anything and just wanted a couple of things, no problem and i was on my way.
Today i rang up and explained that i wanted to come down and have a look around, i explained that i was still awaiting anything from HMRC/Inland Revenue, so i didn't have any business ID, the bloke then said it was ok i could come down on a day pass, costs £1, which is fair enough, then proceeded to tell me that i would have to spend £100 in there. I only wanted a bag of jelly beans and a couple bags of pebbles, he then told me not to bother coming.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or could give me some hints on ways around this....
Cheers
Chris

Ade,
Sorted the joining part, but the minimum spend is £100. Is that right for everybody else who uses Hancocks?
Cheers

Re: Hancocks
went to hancocks a few times before and they didnt mention anything but when i came with a couple of friends in tracksuits and shorts they wanted the £1 fee + £100minimum spend + evidence i was doing what i said i was doing... luckily I had an empty hurleys box in the car and could bring up a few invoices and bits of paperwork etc on my iPad. haven't had any problems since then.

Re: Hancocks
spoke to them today, the £100 minimum spend is just on 1st spend, its in case your just a one off customer and not a buisness, its only active on 1st spend though
