Thanks. It is honestly my first app. I'd never even seen the programming language (objective-c) before starting, so it's been a very big learning curve.
The more downloads your app gets, the higher it appears in app store search results, so I just want everyone to download it.
And if anyone has any suggestions for apps, im all ears.
Have you ever seen the Xylobands that Coldplay have? they were invented so people didn't have to wave lighters or there phones in the air at concerts and to increase audience participation. They are programmed to flash with the music.
Invent an App that makes the phone's screen flash different colours in tandem with the music that is being played, i imagine your phone could listen to the music beats and convert those beats to flashes and colours on the screen?
The xylobands can't flash to just any music they have to be programmed which is a downfall in my opinion, so if you could invent an app that flashes to any music then i think you would be on to a winner. Advertise it at concerts and things.
The xylobands are currently free to Coldplay fans when they go a concert but i have been in contact with them and next year once Coldplay have finished with them they will go mainstream and will be used by anybody.
I am currently the only vending company they are speaking too about putting them in my machines. I will need to have a transmitter attached inside the machine that will make all the bands flash in tandem in a nightclub etc.
I think selling an App would be much more profitable however and make use of the technology that already exists in mobile phones.
If like me your Mrs watches Xfactor and you are forced to watch it you will have seen the xylobands in last years final.
The technology exists that will flash to any music if you could minimise it. It's in all the laser lights and stage lights we use in our performances. I don't know much about it but we do programm the lights to respond to any music unless we DMX it. Maybe you could harness that and use it Lee.
