Not only has the product got to be good but the brand has to be accepted by the market for this product to be successful. When switching to Hurley's crisps, when it came to refill it was always the Hurley's column that was still full which forced me to switch back to Pringles. If fact I know of a fellow operator who totally switched over to Hurley's and began to loose sites because the product would'nt sell. He switched back to Pringles.

Good branding is not what the product looks like on the shelf but when people ask for it by name. A bit like the word 'hoover' is used to describe a vacuum cleaner. So as Paul & Robert said in their post let them launch to the grocery trade, see what the response is and follow on with vending if it flys off the shelf.

So for me I'll hold fire, see how the market responds, if it's positive i'll give it a try.

The product is real potato. There are no trans fatty acids and although the salt content is as high as pringles, the choloesterol is also zero. The taste is as good as pringles but not too different, the cruch is good and they look like prinlges.
Darren, if Kellogs see us as competition, then we know were onto a winner! 1% of the pringle market would make us a fortune!
As soon as we have them here, you will all know about it and can have samples.
Best regards, Paul.

Look really good, I think i`d chuck a few pots behind the bars so customers can sample them.

Hi Paul,
Have you thought about producing product stickers for them. It would help customers decide which flavour; brighten up the tower and your web can be on them also.

Thanks,

Paul

Im pleased that we wont be chasing a price on Pringles any more and I'm really interested in the public's response to your new product - really good idea to promote it to the retail market before the vending market because the 'Hurleys' didn't catch on. Good luck and fingers crossed! Thanks Nicola.
