Hi Mike
Good to here from you again.
We are able to make the mechs accept old and new coins because the engineer concerned is highly trained on oil tools, as well as having the precision milling equipment required to do this.
One mistake can cost millions on oil tools and hence, he works to a very high standard.
He is very flexible and he can do 20 mechs from all different machines, so long as they have a removable coin carrier.

As you can imagine, trying to source 20 different coin carriers for 20 different mechs would be a nightmare we could all do without.
For Example-
I have just been told that the Clenport mechs have been revised four times and each revision had a slightly different coin carrier NONE of which are interchangable!
Cheers Nigel

Hi Nigel

Thanks for the reply

So do I send just the coin carrier or the whole coin mech to be dismantled and put back together.
I must have about 50 coin mechs in my garage that have various problems with them.
Mostly where pound coin will not turn and gets stuck on metal nib which needs filing down.
And metal nib missing altogether.

I will have to get them altogether and send to you.

Thanks

Mike

Please send all 50 Mike, we will convert as many good ones as we can, and message you to advise any that are more than £10 before we do them.
The engineer would rather put them together himself so we can check they all work.
We cannot send any trial piece £1 coins out, sorry!

Typical Government!

What else would you expect?

Sent troops to fight in Iraq and other places without proper kit!

What chance has the vending industry?

O'h, did we need to send you some samples so that you can plan for the future!

They just about screw everything they get involved in!

yes i agree PabloV8, you would not believe the hassle I had getting this new pound trial piece, none of the high street banks could get one....whats that all about?
In the end I got one on loan from a machine manufacturer.

Sounds good Nigel.

I will try and get them all together over next month(bit hectic at mo as holiday coming up so mad busy).
And get them sent to you.
Any idea on cost to repair any that are not working properly.
What will happen about payment as well.
Is it payment up front or pay once work done.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike
Pay once they are done is fine with us.
Anything more that £10 will speak before we do. We are able to repair chipped casing and coin plates so pretty much anything can be returned to useful serive.

Hi Cannyvending
No problem if you want your original mechs back, please put a note in box for the engineer stating CLEARLY that you want them returned and not exchange mechs.

Turnaround should be 3 days but please allow postage time to get them back to you!
Tomy/ Discapa shouldn't be a problem just send what you have, he wont charge you for anything he can't convert!

Hello Nigel

Looks like you have a good plan of action to help all the coin operators update their new £1 coin carriers/mechs. If I get asked by any of my customers what they should do about the new £1 coin change, I will put them your way if that is ok?

Kind regards,

Barbara
