Andy

Your dead right, Barbara has found some fantastic sites where I have been able to put toys in, one where I have put a full size snack and cold can machine and a hots drinks machine.

It must be so hard for the site finder and I have no complaints at all

But barbara you blooming know that!!!!

You have got to be in it to win it!

And the more sites, the more chances you have to get the winner sites :-)

Toy capsule machines - can pick up for £60 upwards however better to have a base with sweet towers and build from there bolting extra machines on.

I would say to any newbie its really not an easy business or a way to make a quick buck. There are constant challenges and you have to move machines from poor performing sites to get your averages up. Added to that you get a good site and suddenly through no fault of your own you lose the site due to a change in management or someone doesnt like the look of the machine

Being in Swansea and so close to Hurleys you should chat with Rob or Paul. I think they operate some towers and if they are operating in Swansea then I wouldnt want to even try and get started in competition because of their obviously lower cost base. On the flip side, if they dont go over that way then having their support locally could be a real help to you.

I would add toys and Pringles where ever possible from day one.

I have done a couple of call campaigns in Swansea and I don't foresee problems with getting sites there. Some areas I work in are saturated where all A's, B's and C sites are gone and all that's left are one man bands under the arches!

My suggestion would be start off with charity towers, that gives you the best chances of getting sites and your commission level will be the lowest. Get to know the business then consider adding toys and Pringles to the sites that warrant it. As the others have already mentioned, vending is an easy business to get wrong! Lean on our expertise and we can save you tripping up, feeling isolated and learn the easy way - by our mistakes. I see many people drift into vending thinking its a case of buying a machine and getting it sited. That is the easy part. The rest is up to you in how you treat the site, cleanliness of your food vendor, attitude, clean smart appearance, prompt call backs ..... The list goes on. Get any of these simple things wrong and one day the site asks you to remove your vendor quoting no space, doesn't get used - this is crap if you are taking money. They are too polite to give the true reason.

Hope this helps.
