Storage Support

Post by Lawrence@LNS »

Good Afternoon,

I have recent taken on a role within a self storage organisation looking at supplying solutions to business's across the South / South East of the UK.

We have already had some great success supplying storage solutions to a large vender across 6 of our sites and I thought I would use this opportunity to ask the question:

How do you store your additional machines / equipment and stock?

Our new customer has found they make great savings on over head costs by using our facilities. We supply clean, dry, secure storage ranging from 25sqft all the way up to 15000sqft in some locations. We offer FREE forklifting, FREE acceptance of deliveries and of course FREE Tea/Coffee (Priorities).

As I'm new to the industry I thought it would be good to get some feedback and of course if I can assist anyone please let me know.

**Admin - What is the procedure for displaying website address's etc? I do not want to break forum rules in my first post, thanks**

I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Lawrence

Saw a documentry on storage places, there are now more in the UK than McDonalds.

Very clever business model, take over an abandoned building and stick in some metal dividers with garage doors on and offer 1 month free rent, the programme said most people rent for minimum of 3 years, money for old rope, few staff on site etc. Non payers have there stuff sold. Most people are hoarders and are emotionally attached to their tat.

Nowadays however the larger companies invest heavily in purpose built secure noticable sites and are springling up everywhere. Didnt think it would catch on I thought............

Mind you I thought that in the late 80's with mobile phones, why would anyone want a phone they carry around unless you were a high flying banker etc.

No wonder I am skint
Steve

Hi Lawrence,

I use a lockup garage at £600 a year. How do your prices compare?
