Re: NEW VENDING PRODUCT HELP REQUIRED

Post by Snackmore »

Crikey you have lost me I am a simple bloke who buys sweet/Pringle towers, kids rides, coffee machines and vending machines, stock them with quality confectionary, drinks and sweets and sell them at a profit aiming to see a return on my money within 6/12 months.

I aim to site at busy locations and pay a commission to keep the site happy also offering a truely local service that nobody else can compete with...............

My investment on each site is relatively low (apart from one large site) and should I lose a site because they move on or go bust its not the end of the world.

Maybe I am missing something?????

No wonder I am skint!
Steve

hi mr snackmore

dont worry we are all skint nd those who say they arent arent far off its the economy .im a small indepndant machine designer who trys to find solutions for other smaller businesses not everything i design will work for anyone

quite simply im bringing a new product to market i hope will sell a few machines.first reactions are that we will but we wont make a fortune

for everyones reference since i started these posts i have found a improvement on the snack a can .however i cannot disclose it as a major customer has designed it and i think is keeping it exclusive .i think u all need to start thinking outside the box because the solution i have seen does everything u all seem to be looking for with the can.
i would never have noticed it before i realised what big business these cans are

sorry i cnnot say any more im sure u understand why but seek and ye shall find im sure it will be more out in the open soon.

love the email snackmore dont worry we are all in the same boat

Hi dan

Can you tell us all if anyone presented you with a site and this machine was the solution, as you put it?
Can you describe a senario where this machine would work?
Just like snackmore, I am really struggling to understand your logic and above all how this machine is going to make you or, for that matter, any of us any money?
You seem like a clever and resourceful kind of guy and I admire your persistance with making the stackers successful!
However, you appear far more driven by the need to design something akin to Asimo (the honda robot that climbs stairs) than designing something that can be placed in any of the locations we have and make us a few bob within a reasonable time scale!

Can I ask if you actually have a single successful field trial of this machine and have any takings figures you can quote?
I think I speak for most of us in that we really concentrate on business potential of machines on this forum and only this will ultimately move machines for you.
With the greatest respect, i reckon you would be better off on some sort of design and technology forum, and maybe come back to this one when you have more of a business case for your machine?

Dan
If you can modify the current sweet and pringle towers to electronically except different coinage say a push button system, so we can adjust the price vend from a quid to say £1.10 or £1.20. Then I for one will buy s...loads of them off you and so will the rest of the guys on this forum. Do that you will be quids in.
Me personally to spend 4/5k on a machine, you have to be kidding!!

Hi dan
The towers and pringles machines are manually coin operated. Put a pound coin in, turn 360 degrees and voila product pops down the chute. Unless you get some little **** who puts in a penny wrapped up in paper and jams the machine. Then the machine wont work. I Have a spare m/c knocking about somewhere. Dont mind sending it to you, on condition that if you do invent an electronic coin mech then I get first delivery and maybe a discount on first order(cheeky)

If you can somehow invent an electronic coin mech where you put the correct money in and it turns the barrel which releases the product then you will sell thousands of those. I would say there would be at least 5000 sweet and pringles machines out there in the market. The biggest problem in this business is that the current coin mech is stuck at a pound. Over time with rising costs including fuel and cost of living, the profit margins will be shrinking, thus making the business in future years worthless.
On the other hand if you and your 36 engineers can come up with a new style machine that does all the above, then in the words of theo paphitis from dragons den, IM IN.

I do know of a new concept like this but I didn't take 100per cent notice as I said I think someone's done it but I think he's keeping it for himself.as he's a possible buyer of my new machine I wouldn't want to upset him so as long as what he's done isn't what u want mee to look t well have a good look at it for u .

Our engineers specialise in automation so if it can be done they will suss it.let me find out exactly what's going on with my customers concept and I'll come back to you

Cheers

Dan
