Yea I think your too highly strung Jimmy, what is it you want us to do about it? Why don't you just find out who the operator is who installed their machine next to yours and give them a call? Im sure u can both sort something out rather than farting in the wind.

Ade had exactly the same thing happen to him the other week and we didn't get a long winded moaning session from him.

The above is simple business ffs just phone the operator if u want to sort it

So one of the 3 companies that offer stock and site finding services calls a prospective new pub:-

Hi sorry to bother you this morning I am calling from a company called (tubz vending, Hurleys, snack a can) we specialise in sweet vending machines. Before they could finish the first line the landlord would say "sorry mate to busy".

Or

Hi sorry to bother you this morning I am calling with a free offer inconjunction with mars, nestle, rowntrees, galaxy etc.... They are household names and then you have their attention.

At some point during the conversation they would then tell them that they are tubz vending, Hurleys, Snack a Can. The landlords only remembers nestle as it a household name.

It's no different to one of us walking into a site and saying "hi I am from abc123 vending would you like a free machine". Personally I walk in ask if they want the machines and list all the brand names of the chocolate.

Just to reiterate the landlord has only heard the bit he wanted too.

Another machine in your site, pain in the backside indeed but gavins comment above is spot on.

the above quote says it all, you need a reality check bigtime!

It is NOT your site , its the owners
It is also fair game for any other operator!
If the site owner wants another tower from a different supplier then you have to respect his decision.

I dont know if Snack A Can have deluded you here, but the reality is you either go with it or take your tower out and move on!
I have never known an individual to make such a big fussl over one shared site.
You should be asking yourself if you have the right temprement for this Business??
It's you and people like you who need a reality check when I say it's my site - I mean I did the groundwork, was there first and if someone wants me out then it's the site owner who makes that decision not some idiot claiming to be someone else and using lies and deceitfulness to achieve what they want. I have never lied, coerced, or misrepresented or been untruthful to any of my sites/contacts why do some people/organisations feel the need to try and screw people behind their backs.

In a town this size there are more then enough Pubs/Site for more than one operator I wouldn't want it all, nor could I cope with it all anyway.

1. But why place a machine right next to mine which has been in situ for 2 years?

2. Why call a site and try and screw me? and pretend to be someone else?

3. Why not do your own site finding and find sites for yourself where there are no competitors, of which there are plenty, ( I spent a couple of hours one day going round Pubs in that particular town and found out which pubs had a vending facility of some kind, and which didn't). I get my own sites, I don't use Barbara or someone else, I go out and do the work, and I must say I've been pretty successful. got 3 last week and 2 yesterday, No knockbacks.

The other operator would get more takings if he took his machine to another site/pub where I am not present and reap the 100% vending takings rather than the shared site at the moment.

Tell me who needs a realty check and is deluded - it just pure common sense, But reading your comments it's obvious you are seriously lacking in the common sense business. GO BUY SOME!

I would like to say just to make it clear to everyone:

The person who made the phonecall led the Publican believe it was Nestle making the call, pure and simple. That is dishonest.

tubz vending, Hurleys, Snack a Can were not mentioned in the call except to say we suggest you get rid of the Snack a Can machine and take ours.

I know thats business but it's pretty desperate if you have to do that in a town where there are so many pubs to go round.

I'm glad somebody is on the ball!! Jimmy listen to what eatsweets is saying and stop crying over a little spilt milk.

Also I did mean Snack A Can and not tubz vending and I have had 4 Snack A Can machines turn up in 4 pub sites I have on the charity angle. Snack A Can are just as bad as tubz vending FACT!!

Jeez Jimmy just read this back to yourself. My response to that if anyone said it to me would be " quit chucking your toys out of the pram and grow a pair " So what if you did all the ground work and are as honest as the day is long. It's a sad fact that people of your calibre don't last long in business...not long term anyway..

A. You aren't calm enough under pressure.
B. You take business too personally. It's called business for a reason.
c. You aren't ruthless enough.
D. You don't understand the fundamentals of dealing with other business's
E. You attach too much importance to yourself just because you are in business for yourself.

I don't know you personally but believe it or not I can easily gauge all that from your postings. As can everyone else. I'm not putting you down or disrespecting you , cos I know you are a good person cos you are a friend of Ians and I can see it in your postings as well.

All I was doing was being realistic Jimmy but, as noticed by some others on the forum, some people just cant be helped.
I will no longer comment on any of your posts as it obviously brings out the worst in you!
Good luck with your enterprise, and I mean that, for vending can be a great business if you work hard and stick at it for a few years, ive done around 27.
If you manage to stay in the vending business for another 27 years, I would be happy to converse with you .
Hopefully by then you will have far more relevent posts to contribute to the forum that might help others instead of wallowing in your own anger/self pity!

theres No Anger, No Self Pity
I'm just making it known that this type of thing is going on,
I have been in business myself for over 15 years before that I was in PR in The Nuclear Power Industry, Do you want to know what pressure is???

It does annoy me that when I have made the effort to make my business work, a business that if I was to arrive here from the moon and read all the negativity on this forum about Snack A Can and Vending in general I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole and someone comes and tries to shaft you anyway then I will protect my business. I have made the call and something is happening now re the site.

regarding the mysterious individual claiming to be Nestle well thats been delt with as the sites where I am present have assured me that My machine is staying and they are staying customers of mine, thats because I have built a relationship with these individuals.

I have let you all know what can happen the tactics which are being used, I fully believe the information I have supplied is relevant.
if it's not you don't need to read it.

Jimmy

I am a newbie to vending but not to the university of life, I have never had the pressure of working in HR either :blahblah:   but do know how to deal with situations when they arise, clearly what has happened to you could and does happen on a daily basis to all of us and its how you deal with it afterwards that shows how good you are in business. I am glad it is sorted now for you.

I also remember your postings when I first came on here and the fact that you would never post again oh and the long drawn out goodbye :liar:

Anyway alls well that ends well
Steve
