how much exactly are people charging for delivery?

Post by glennborthwick »

I think i maybe undercharging for delivery as i did it at true cost so am genuinely interested in what everyone is charged for different amounts of boxes. I currently charge £15 for ten boxes then a pound a box after that.

It can be quite annoying having to pay a minimum delivery when you need to order 1 box or something small. Especially £15.

Can 1 box not be shipped for about £3.50?

we send about 100-200 per week via tnt, the cost price is over £7 per consignement up to 20kg then its about 25p per kg on top, then we have boxes, tape, strapping etc etc etc & someones wages to do all this that is why we charge the £15

we do always try to help though if there is enough money in the product we are sending out.

Very true. I think this is one area costs aregoing to be hard to drop. Imagine running a courier company dealing with the current price rises in petrol. Nightmare.

it`s also + 6% fuel surcharge & out pallet network has also just added this & they update it weekly here`s there calculator ( look at what they are paying for a litre )

Dear Customer,

Please be aware that the price of fuel is still rising and today's price is 114.05p per litre.

Thus as per our fuel mechanism below, the fuel surcharge effective from Monday 14th March will be 6%.

Fuel surcharge
£0.99 = 1%
£1.02 = 2%
£1.05 = 3%
£1.08 = 4%
£1.11 = 5%
£1.14 = 6% Rate effective from Monday 14th March

Thank you for your understanding.
