Cashless payment systems - T-Vend

Cash is sooo last year so I'm looking at introducing contactless card payments and Apple pay and other similar methods of payment.

From what I've seen so far the set up costs seem to be expensive plus the ongoing costs, percentage of sale value etc...

I put T vend in the title because I've seen you mention it before!

Anyone know much about this? Would the terminals fit to old machines (10-15 years old)? And are they reliable? I suppose there's no mechanical parts so very little to go wrong.

I am a programmer so nothing to go wrong

I would say that my mechanical machines are far more reliable than digital machines. I base this on the amount of breakdowns against the amount of broken digital vending machines I see.

What goes wrong with the card terminals?

Coin mechs are very reliable now but they're not immune to kids/idiots putting plastic wrappers down the coin chute.

I saw one the other day with no initial outlay just a monthly rental.

TBH I would only site them in high footfall sites ie football grounds , shopping centres airports where you can command a premium, not worth the bother in offices etc as most people have access to cash and cant really see increase in turnover justifying the investment.

Apologies, I’ve e only just seen this post.

I’ve got two different systems running at the moment, one from Nayax and one from Vendotek.
Each have their own pros and cons.

Nayax is easier/quicker to get up and running with compared to Vendotek, but they also charge more in fees.
As long as your machine is MDB then they are pretty much plug & play.
