How do I get this machine up this flight of stairs...

Post by nicklouse10 »

Hi,

I need to get this drinks machine, up this flight of stairs, and I'm seriously scratching my head as to how to go about it.

Any advice would be MOST appreciated.

I 5 strong helpers, I have a pallet truck, and I have an engine crane (that I normally use for removing and refitting engines in my car)

I can see none of the above doing me a lot of good... but I'm sure someone has been through this before.

 Pop it on your head and carry a slab of coke in each hand for balance. Always happy to help!

Lie on narrow side, heavy duty zip straps around and pull up stairs piece of wood length of stairs makes it slide easier but not necessary. Two up top pulling short straw at bottom pushing easy enough

remove compressor if want to make bit lighter takes 5 minutes

Leave standing for 24 hours before switch on allowing oil in compressor to resettle

Use a sack barrow with big wheels and pull up step by step, leaning at about 70 degree angle. Have a helper to steady the load.

Definitely take the door off and compressor out as others have mentioned.

After that it should be easy with 5 men around it. The size and awkwardness is the main problem and not the weight.
