It seems very little interest out there for this stuff, what do you guys think?
Is everyone really that skint, or is it a big ask to expect someone to drive to the east coast for a few vending machines?
Quite puzzled really, thought the stuff would fly out?
Any pointers to where I am going wrong?

Nigel

I guess its a case of no money/no sites?

If I were looking for some machines and the price was right the location would not matter.

I an losing more sites than gaining at the mo, had 3 close down this week, bloody brewarys

I would probably list some of the stuff separately, and offer to send it by courier. I've seen a few towers go recently for £70 - £80 with £20 added for courier charge.
It can be really time consuming photographing and listing everything separately, then also going to the effort of packing things for couriers, but it will get you more interest, and ultimately more money in the end! :-)

Thanks for the comments.
Deep Down,I know the only way to sell the stuff is to list it separately with lots of waffle and pretty pics on eBay.
a few have asked if I am getting out of vending and nothing could be further from the truth, I have more stuff out there now than I have ever had.
Many rounds have come my way over the last 8 years and I have simply stopped expanding as I cant handle anymore sited machines.

I would agree with this.

From experience when I have sold items on eBay and offered collection only, they always seem to go for less than when I offer to send via courier. It is a lot more messing around but if you want to get rid and make a reasonable return then I think it is the only way.

Failing that, have you tried contacting anyone who deals with buying and selling machines? I would have thought that someone like that would want to take them from you in one lot? Saying that they will probably offer next to nothing.

Both Midland vending and Hurley's list re-furbished machines on e-bay and offer courier, perhaps it says something about the effectiveness of listing 'collection only'.

Hi Nigel,

Lowestoft is a very nice place, but even with it's ice cream and fish & chips is still way out of the way & difficult to get to for most people. invest in in cling film wrap, save all large cardboard boxes and at least offer packaging. Separate your items, people interested in electronic pringles wont want beavers etc. Pinballs, condoms & seaga pringles sell individually & film wrap on pallett if necessary. list all North Westerns together, same forBeavers. I'm very centrally placed so things sell easier, about a third of the items I've sold over the last year I've hand delivered, a third collected in person and a third by courier. You need to make the extra effort and offer delivery.

all the best,

Pete
