Can anyone help? I've got a couple of tubz vending vendors which keep jamming despite all I can do to clean and oil them up.
Generally, when they jam I dismantle them down to the black ring and spring at the base of the spindle, clean everything up and put it back together with a little 3-in-1 oil where it might help. I always check the base (perspex) ring to see whether any of the 'teeth' that mesh with the black base ring are broken, and if necessary swap base ring round with next one which is fully intact.
From a brief search of this site, the problem sounds like it might be a 'dropped barrel' but although someone referred to a 'fix' described by 'Gary' - I can't find his posting.
When a coin is inserted and mech turned, one pot drops into the barrel but also a fraction of the pot above. So if you don't flick the mechanism round fast enough, the 2nd pot jams the whole thing. I can fix by turning upside down or pushing the barrel up manually from underneath but on a couple of sites now, but that's not going to work for my customers

I think you need to change the barrel, the part that the tub drops into, as they are probe to splitting.

The best thing to do is not buy those machines!!
Stick to the clenport machines, never cause any problems...

Hi Gavin,
I found the fix you designed didnt actually stop the pots from jamming. I have found the only thing which makes the machine jam is the black center ring which the plastic segments sit on.

Re: Dropped barrel on tubz vending vending vending machine?
tubz vending told me to try a new black centre ring but that almost made it worse! Or at least that was my experience with one of their machines today.
I couldn't see any cracks in the barrel. The nut at the bottom of the spindle was a bit loose and I swapped the bottom two segments over, cleaned and oiled it all up as usual and something finally did the trick. Trying different black rings just meant it took twice as long as it should have.
In fact, with one of the new black rings, the segments weren't aligning properly.
So I'm gradually realising that the indidual parts of each of these almost identical vending towers , aren't as easily interchangeable as they may seem, at first!
