Sweet Towers

Post by fitzgerm »

I am having quite a few jams at the moment on my sweet towers. I have a selection of tubz vending, snack a can and Clenport.

I understand the dimple ring is different on Clenport and Chinese-however is there a difference between tubz vending and Snack a can machines?

Hi Malcolm
I n short, I don't know 100% but as they are both made be same company (Zenjet) I would be surprised if there was a difference!
easiest way is take dimple rings off each machine and do visual check.
If they look the same they probably are.
I use exclusively Hurleys now and have noticed a big decrease in jamms from when I was mixing Hurleys with tubz vending

tubz vending pots are shorter than hurleys so cause more of some types of jams. the jams can be caused by a bunch of factors, best off stripping down the tower and replacing any worn parts and work by process of elimination.

I have a box of brand new dimple rings and springs in the van. recently after slight increase in jams i have been changing the dimple rings which reduces a bit of play in the turning of the machine. If the machine is unresponsive ie dosnt click into place when turning i change the spring. After time the spring has a habit of squashing down and losing springyness.

i have been using dimple rings from tubz vending on both the chinese machines and snack a can machines with no problem. the dimples are 12mm across. Clemport dimples rings have an 18m dimple and dont work on chinese machines visa versa.

I've got 250 clenports & 25 chinese all 5-7 years old. never changed a dimple ring or spring in my life. If I've ever had a problem with the machine not clicking into the correct position because of lack of tension, I'll increase the pressure by adding extra washers at the lid end, works every time.
