coin mech fault

Post by pandaanda »

I have bought 4 second hand bouncy ball/ gobstopper machines and 3 of them all have the same problem with the coin mechs, when you put the 20p in it very often either falls straight through before you turn the handle or as soon as you start to turn it ?, I assume this must be a common problem with these machines as 3 out of the four are all the same! So was wondering if anyone knows of a fix or has any good mechs for sale.
cheers
Pete

it sounds like the holding clip which the 20p sits on has come unscrewed and dropped off. I bet with my soothsayers hat on they are purple machines with a single normal top key.
