Certainly hope not Andy, I have over 100 therefore would have to consider a different product.

The problem is if they change the packaging and the new ones dont vend you are stuck with buying pots which are expensive to buy and fill for a £1 return.

If this was to happen i would probably take the time to convert all my pringle towers to Toy capsule towers. Have done this with quite a few of my m81 towers and the very little investment has been great.

Having looked at the article, it looks like they are going to trial the large cartons in Tesco. With that in mind, I would have thought (given the tooling required) we are about 12 months before the small Pringles follows suit. If the large cartons are a success that is. Still forewarned and all that, you can guarantee a price hike when it happens, as this is always the case with these products. So, will have to think on what to do with the Pringles machines within the next year.

Vending has certainly be trying of late! Coin mechs change, smaller portions of product, covid19 and now Pringles pots to boot! Seems to jump from one problem to the next.

Re: Is this the end for Pringles vending?
Just a thought, rather than sit back and see shouldnt we be lobbying them and reminding them of how many Pringles get sold through vending towers each year?
Of course can convert them to other other products but as mentioned above thats not ideal
I would be happy to write to Kelloggs about this, anyone behind me? We would need to present sales figures so best not to do it on the forum, better by PM
Im seeing Liam this week, will sound out his thoughts.
Cheers
P.S. interesting article mentions Italy but not Portugal where the Clenports are made, they should be a big influence on this again will talk to Liam

Re: Is this the end for Pringles vending?
Just found this link and sent them a message of praise for the environmental move but a concern about their lost business if they change the size of the 40g vending product, would suggest you all do the same

Re: Is this the end for Pringles vending?
The small Pringles had a big price hike last year, I suspect with the new packaging they will once again provide a large price hike. Kellogg’s is such a large company, I doubt they will be interested in a small group of sellers. Let’s be frank, the amount they run of the production line in a couple of hourS would provide us as a combined force, the amount to service all machines for the month/year. I have over 100 Pringles therefore, if I sold 30 on average that would be 250 trays, I would think the average per customer would be 50 trays a month so 50 * 500 customers 25000 trays, a morning’s or days production run. Kellogg’s unlikely to get excited about that.
Already looking at alternatives, it was good whilst it lasted/lasts.
