Re: Sites for sale in Leeds & Liverpool

Hi guys, as Steve says you can usually get trays of Pringles for around the £5-6 mark (inc.), making each pot just over 40p. On 25% commission you still make nearly 35p each one - and if you have sweets as well, obviously it is not much extra effort to refill and empty 2 machines rather than one :) ...

Re: Clenport M108 jammed

Ive had M108's jamming a few times.... even brand new machines. Usually coins backed up behind the mech. Easiest fix is re.ove the plastic cover over the coin mech (leave mech though), then use pliers or tweezers to remove offending coins. One you have removed a few, remaining coins should drop down...

Sites for sale in Leeds & Liverpool

Hi guys, One of my customers has 4 sites - 2 in the Midlands (which I cover), 1 in Leeds and 1 in Liverpool. They have asked if I can cover, or find them someone to cover the Leeds & Liverpool sites (doesn't have to be the same person covering both). Liverpool site has requested 2 x sweet pot ma...

Re: sweet crane

Yes, much higer cost of equipment than a towern but margin is greater too. Still, it would take a long time to recoup initial cost so only really suitable for busy sites.

Re: sweet crane

Hi Andy, you're right about needing a license for most cranes. I only have 'prize every time' though so no license needed :)

Re: sweet crane

Hi Ade, Ive looked into this too - best bets are Instance Automatics (Maxx Grab) and UDC (United DIstributing Company), google for details. Typically machines are around £1k used, and around £1.5k new. I'm trying a coupld of cranes at the moment, but have gone for teddy bear type at the moment. I th...

Re: northwestern help

Hi, to be honest you probably dont need someone local - there is a wealth of experience in this group, and by asking any questions or explaining any problems, I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction. I'm not famiar with Northwesters, however I have operated a number of Beav...

Re: why are soo many for sale

In my experience, people often buy into this business via a franchise with high expections (based on promises they have recieved). When they find the returns are less than expected, they decide to exit the business, and sell their towers to recoup some of their investment!

Re: Cho shop question

I've had a couple of sites tell me they have been offered 50% commission. I've clarified with them that it is actuallty 50% (and not 50% of profit etc) and they have assued me it is. Seems strange as with the cost of the product, 50% would leave very little money left, hardly worth bothering with. U...

Re: Savoury snacks for Beaver Machines

HI Jason,

Years ago I used to vend pistachio nuts in Beavers - they sold well, but a few places complained about the shells people left behind but apart from that they were a good seller. You must have some great sites if they empty a Beaver in 1-2 days :) :)

Best regards, Mark
