Hurleys Maestros

Hi, I have been using these now for 3-4 months. Curerently, I am only using them in sites where Minstrels sold out and only continue if the Maestros do the same. They are selling very well and customers do like them. I have had no complaints. I would increase the amount of these in my towers if the price was the same as the Minstrels, but because they are £38 a box, I cant justify it. I would be interested to know how many others are using these and how many would give them a try if the price was lower.

I use them in all my towers currently, but I don't think they sell quite as quickly as the minstrells did. I don't mind the price too much as long as they sell fast! I've also got no overheads to worry about so profit is all profit
I've been trying fruit pastiles recently, but they haven't sold quick enough for the short date, or to justify the price. Just got some Strawberry pencils today to try instead of the pastiles, and managed to find some chocolate orange at the weekend to use in sites with slow selling Rolo/Toblerone.

I am just getting down to my last 5 boxes of minstrels( bought 100 when problems started).

I have got to decide what to buy if any.
Don't tubz vending do the same product at £32 a box(not quite sure).
I am currently with Hurleys but would buy them from tubz vending if price is so different.

How do the tubz vending ones sell.
Interested to know myself as want to convert all my machines from minstrels to new product.

Interesting that tubz vending sell theirs a lot cheaper. I have done taste comparisons with Minstrels with random costumers and not one said that they would not buy the Maestro. I do think many more would try them if the price was lowered. Why not lower the Price for 3 months and see how many other users on board? I feel sure that once you have tried them, you would not go back, but I guess that many will buy the tubz vending ones now, just because of the price.

guys these are just hancocks chocolate pebbles put in a pot and given a different name... why would you pay such a ridiculously high price for these just to have a hurleys sticker on them...if you're going to get them then buy the tubz vending ones they are cheaper

if you don't switch suppliers when they try to charge these kind of prices then you are a mug and i think hurleys are taking advantage of some people here...

I think you have to look at the bigger picture when choosing stock, and accept that some things cost more than others. There's nothing worst in my opinion than seeing a tower full of cheap chewy sweets, with no chocolate or branded products.
There is a Perform machine in a pub near me that has 3 rows of tubz vending fizzy mix, three cola bottles, and three pencils, needless to say it looks crap, even when they bother putting anything in it!
I would rather make less money on more sales, and will put what sells in the machine, rather than what has a good margin. I would also rather pay the extra to Hurley's on their maestro's than have a odd looking machine, with two different brands of stock.

I think you have to look at the bigger picture when choosing stock, and accept that some things cost more than others. There's nothing worst in my opinion than seeing a tower full of cheap chewy sweets, with no chocolate or branded products.
There is a Perform machine in a pub near me that has 3 rows of tubz vending vending fizzy mix, three cola bottles, and three pencils, needless to say it looks crap, even when they bother putting anything in it!
I would rather make less money on more sales, and will put what sells in the machine, rather than what has a good margin. I would also rather pay the extra to Hurley's on their maestro's than have a odd looking machine, with two different brands of stock.

I think you have to balance out the branded lines with some cheaper lines to make a respectable overall margin, for example I put 3/4 lines expensive branded lines in the tower and then use 5/6 cheaper lines such as maom chews which are cheap but still branded. I also self pack Rolos which allows me to use this branded product for a lot cheaper than buying from suppliers. I only use 3 expensive products which are skittles, toblerone and Rolos.

totally agree with you Mark but "maestro's" is not a brand like "minstrels" so i think its daft to pay same price for them. fair enough if you don't want to mix and match suppliers but you will save a lot of money if you did.
