Stolen Clenport M81 - North East Area

Post by Quinch »

I have had a tower nicked from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

DESCRIPTION -

Clenport M81 (chrome). It has my postcode (NE....) engraved into the right hand side (vertical) ridge around the coin tray door and is marked with permanent UV marker pen in several places.

Stand (black). It is a tubz vending-type heavy steel stand.

If anyone is offered a machine with an NE postcode on it or where it looks like someone has removed markings from the coin tray door ridge can you please PM me. If anyone comes across the machine on-site can you also let me know.

REWARD -

If anyone comes across the machine on-site and PM's me where it is I will give them £50. If anyone provides information that leads to the recovery of the machine/stand and the conviction of the person who stole it I will give them £250.

Regards

If you have a standard marking, might be worth putting a picture up.

I'll keep an eye out for one. Did it have the rounded cleanport coin mech on it?

I have reached the point where I just accept that sometimes they will get nicked, you can waste too much time chasing lost towers and as annoying as it is, its a fact of life, I had one nicked 2 months ago and yesterday got a call from a woman who had found it and I have just got it back in one piece and still full of stock and cash!

In answer to the previous posts:

The mark on the machines is just my postcode, I hope you understand that I'm not going to put my postcode on an open forum but it begins with NE. ... I hope this and the location of the marking on the machine (coin tray door edge) is distinctive enough.

The machine is a standard Clenport M81 with a rounded coin mech.

I'm not holding out a lot of hope of retrieving the tower but I think creating a forum like this should at least make it more difficult for people to sell nicked machines. A lot of operators use this site so if they check this forum before buying secondhand machines they are covering themselves from buying potential stolen goods.

I realise some people may not care or bother to check here first but I see it like this - If I come across the machine in another site I'm walking out with it and ringing the police, by listing it here I have alerted people that the machine is stolen and hopefully stopped someone buying it in the first place.
