The quality of new towers!

Post by PabloV8 »

Today, had to recover a new machine that was giving freebees!

Coin mechanism is at fault - kids could get free tubs, lost 22 tubs but glad I popped in today otherwise it could well have been 58 tubs.

Last month at a different location same thing - lost 41 tubs.

And earlier in July lost about 18 tubs.

Are the sweet towers no longer man enough?

Older machines seem to be more robust.

Any thoughts?

I have only had this once where if you turn the mech handle anti clockwise the sweets come out, it was down to the spring and lug thingy that was knackered

yeah buying a new tower really is no guarantee that you get anything good. and buying old ones doesn't necessarily mean they're bad. it's pot luck and best thing to do is to try before you buy and use your experience to judge.

It's the same old story, reverse engineered copy machines are crap, use cheap components which break. Malfunctioning coin mechs, breaking barrels are very rare indeed with Clenport machines.

I've had this happen with many of my Chinese made towers. The problem is the housing for the non return catch which prevents the mechanism being turned anti-clockwise , after a while they break allowing the catch to spring out then it's not in position to prevent the anti clock-wise turning of the handle allowing the non stop emptying of the tower. NOT NICE.

Yeah,

It is just as I thought!

I have a machine that requires replacing due to mechanism problems (11 machine so far) and today I am going to a site that has yet another jammed product etc, I am told the machines needs replacing so will take a spare!

My advice to anyone getting into this business is to use Clenports only!

The Clenports I got from tubz vending have been excellent therefore, intend to purchase said machines from them very soon when I expand!

They have proved to be very reliable and less stressful.

Cheers, happy munching!

H'mmmm it is 13th today, starting to think it is Friday!

Just removed yet another jammed machine!

Is it a cheap Chinese machine or is It a Clenport?

what do you think!

Really annoyed now, that is the 13th bl**dy break-down!

This is too far a large percentage of my stock machines that have broken down

Any change in tubs your using? Are lids popping off or is it latch issue previously mentioned?
