Bank Account

Post by Snackmore »

I use a seperate account with lloyds which I had as a kid but obviously its in my name and not the company. Considering having a company account however what are the costs and is it worth it? I get free banking through my current account

hadn't seen this post when i replied elsewhere but as a sole trader you can walk into lloyds and get a sole trader business account pretty much straight away, especially if they've already got you on the system.

a big problem for us is charges on the banking of cash so free banking really is a must. i'll pm you some sneaky ways round it in case my bank manager ever joins the forum

Im with Lloyds too and I am charged each month for banking coins and each time I use my business card to pay for goods. I dont pay that much attention to the cost but somehow think its 40p.

I try taking some coins and paying for goods at cash n carry. Helps keeps the fees down. Pm me with any other sneaky ways. thx

I pay Nat West £25 per month, which I think is a rip off. I would be interested in any workarounds to cut these costs.

Cheers,

Heres a good one with Morrisons self pay tills , if you overpay it gives you the change back in notes! Cant shift a lot this way cause you look a tool ploughing pound coins in, however due to there design you can just pour them in if no ones about ;-)

I pour loads of coins in at Tesco self checkout and note that if you put in loads for your shopping it seems to always miss-count in your favour!
