I carry around a rucksack with side pockets that have a zip. Each visit I unzip the side pocket, pull out a bag full of 1ps,2ps 5ps and 10s all mixed up, then pull out a bag of 20ps, then a bag of 50ps, then bag of £1. Then sort the commission, put it all back and I'm off again. Beginning to get a bit cheesed off with the unzip, bags out, do up bags, put back in pouch, zip up, off we go routine.
Anyone have a better system like a coin holder you put around your waist, that has say 4 compartments that you just throw money into which has seperate pots. One for samll change, one for 20ps, one for 50ps, etc. Once you have put the coins back you just put over one flap and your away? Save alot of faffing.....
How do you organise your change that you carry around?

Gavin,
On a daily basis how much change do you use?
I have aquired a coin sorter that bus drivers use, so just have that in me bag, and everything is in one place, neat and tidy.

If I am paying commision out I ask for change as only carry pound coins. I chuck all the money straight into a pocket of my jacket then into a cloth money bag in the car and count up once at home. I also offer the pounds to pubs, they have to pay the bank for change so it does them a favour. I only do this in a couple of sites but they will both take £200 a time

Hi Gavin,
I use a market traders money belt. It has 4 large compartments and loads of room for both the money from the machine and your commissions. I only carry 20p's for commissions though. I buy them from E-bay.
Thanks,
Paul

I always round off comission & pay in pound coins only. I never store money in rucksacks, holdalls or cloth bags. Had them nicked a couple of times, lost £500 once. I always bag coins in money bags on site then hide them in my van.
