Whats the best type of vending?

We've been in vending for around a year now, and undertook it as an additional business to our main companies that we currently run (property related).

We got in to it with the intention of making the most of a small investment and trying to build some extra cashflow.

Its not set the world alight but its paid its way and made a profit so we cant complain.

However only now have we just come across this site and kinda wished we had found it around a year ago when we first got started.

It would be good to know what the most popular type of vending is on here, from a business perspective? ie: due to profits or time commitment etc...

By this I mean, whats the best vending business to be in? is it sweet cans, is it toys etc..... and why?

Be good to see a bit of debate on this and see where in the grand scale of things the sweet tower vending that we are doing is compared to other types of vendinh?

£1 Bouncy balls are amazing in the apollo machines. I would have 1000 if they could get sited within 200 miles of my base.

heres my take on it.

Sweet towers are regular money takers at 100% margin but are generally high mainenance, i.e you have to go visit them every £40 they take. They are a good way in to good sites.

Toys open up a much wider list of potential sites - newsagents, campsites can all havee machines outside. MArgins normally a little bit better and can be left longer. A bouncy ball machine can easily be left for 6 weeks if filled right up and can generate over a £100 per take at big margins.

In my eyes best kind of vending is where site has multiple machines and where you can leave stock for them to refill. Do it right and u can pick up over £2000 each cash up - this is from best seasonal site that has 5 pringles 2 sweets 1 bouly 3 wonders and 1 apollo. They fill pringles and sweets rest I do.

Also believe u can spot certain deals that really make sense. For instance a Sticky can be bought for 13p inclusive. supposed to sell at 50p, but they sell great at £1 vend.

Really like the idea of Zero Product Cost vends like kiddie rides, but put off by poor exchange rate and storage issues for when machines get booted

I would like to expand more into other machine types, but my concern is if I lose these sites as often as I lose tower sites, I have no way of keeping pace, or storing morew than a few. I have a handful of Pringles, 3 L wonders and bulks. I wonder where the tipping point is for justifying a small industrial unit. Way above my profit at the moment I think.
