Out of interest though, how much does it cost for the person to text the comp?

You say 30p to the operator but how much to you for organising it, cost of stickers and website, dont forget the network costs for the text too?

If it's 20p for the network and 30p for the operator that's 50p to enter a competition on a product that costs a £1?

I may be wrong in what i am saying but a bit more info as to the costs to the customer would be good.

Not sure i would pay 50p to enter a comp.

As Phil said its to win a years supply of sweets, iPads etc.... Prizes supplied by Phil. I am sure there are many people after a few beers that would pay 50p for the chance of winning an iPad.

It will be £1.00 or £1.50 depending how cheap I can do the stickers for.The price is inline with walkers, kellogs promotions.

A 50p entry would leave about 4p profit after network costs !

50p quizzes only really appear on TV shows these days where you are going to get a million entries.

I`m going for the irrational impulse market(drunk) who will pay a pound.

Hi Phil. Sounds good to me. I used to have loads of premium rate phone numbers in the old days.Made loads of money, then dear old Maggie had them switched off. bless her heart. 0898 numbers, 50p min. I had a number which i advertised in a Kent newspaper, it just said, Confessions of an Essex Girl. it was a recorded message. took about £400 week. They were the days  Regards Al.
