Your vending tricks of the trade!

Post by Jon123 »

Got 2 tricks which I am sure some will know about and some won't.

Chinese tower lid locks will also work as back locks. ( Great if you have a smashed lid as you can salvage a lock.)

second tip isn't mine got it from ade but worth mentioning , Yellow can in halfords called sticky stuff remover made be de solve it, is the easiest chemical I have come accross for getting label residue off, saved me hours in manual labour!

anyone else have any tricks?

Cheers

Put a little grease on the rear part of the barrel. You can do this by sticking a finger up tyhe product tube, when the coin carrier is at the top. This ensures a smooth vend and the barrel lasts longer and is less prone to sticking.

use a thin red straw to aim the grease where your fingers cant reach (usually come with the can of grease or also with any can of wd40)

also, for removing labels or stickers use a hairdryer to melt the glue and it will peel off as easily as you stuck it on. if you go too fast or there are scratches then some of the sticky residue will be left behind and thats 30seconds of cleaning with sticky stuff remover.

the hairdryer technique is such a timesaver, takes me about 3 minutes to remove all stickers and residue from plastic segments  :!:

TOP TIP!
Stop constant calls from a certain supplier by saying you can get much, much lower prices elsewhere!

works a treat
