Minimum legal price for soft drinks??

Post by Lee@BIGBAPS »

I'm pretty sure this is BS but I have to check.

I have a site with only 1 machine in their canteen, another company, one of the big boys, have 4 machines in that same canteen (I know it's strange).

I undercut their soft drinks sales by selling pepsi cans at 70p, they sell the same can at 90p, they are now telling the site that I'm breaking the law by selling pepsi too cheap, as though there's some legal minimum price as there is for alcohol in Scotland.

Of course I want the whole canteen and all 5 machines and the other company know this so it seems like mud slinging trying to get the site to turn on me.

I've looked around and can't find anything about a minimum price and I've never heard of it before, just checking here too.

Thanks.

Steve is correct,
You could let them go for free if you want!

Come to think of it, I have had several machines giving out freebies. Never heard of the sites complaining about that!

Strange that the canteen has two different operators in though! Was you there before, or did you put a machine in whilst the big boys already had their machines in place?

Thought so, had to check before I went back to the site, they aren't complaining it's only the big boy unhappy that I'm taking their sales and have been for 7 years. They're threatening the site with removing their cold can and bottle machine, sounds great to me.

Thanks.
