Does anyone still do bulk machines?

Post by Tufty »

Hi guys,

I bought a few Beavers on double head stands and the plan is to keep one side on a 20p vend and convert the other to 50p.

For 20p side I was thinkng about skittles, nippers even bouncy balls but struggling with the 50p side to offer something that is the right mix of good value for customer but good profit for me.

With Mentos, minstrels etc I think I could only offer 12 sweets or so and not sure if this would be seen as too stingy?

I think it would be better value than what we offer in towers but just wondered if anyone had any opinions (good or bad) or other product ideas that could work?

Hi Tufty

I managed to buy 8 of the ball Beavers yesterday. upon looking for sweets i've been looking at appletons.hancocks are good too. they have a massive selection and all great prices, maybe they would be good for you?

Thanks :)

Glad you got some sorted, sounds like your business is really moving now which is great

I actually drive by Hancocks regularly but when I went in before they said I needed proof of trading which being so small time I didn't have,I just checked them out online though and it doesn't seem to be an issue for online orders. I will give them another visit I think.

Hi Tufty

Yeah things are moving along nicely. just got to get the last bits and im almost there. the website is almost finished and got someone designing me the business cards etc to finish it all off.

ive not needed to show any proof of trading to use their online service so maybe try there :)

Fingers crossed for you mate. let me know how you get on

Did some site finding this morning and got a few double stands placed so it has been a decent wee start. They are doing skittles and mini eggs that I got from toy vend. Just hope they sell now.

Thanks Style,

Do you need a new wheel for that?
I tested 27mm bouncy balls and they vended fine but I didn’t know if the capsules are perfectly round or oval and didn’t want to risk buying a batch.
