Tower lids

Post by cliffxtc »

I've got 4 lids for towers that won't fit...why? They seem to have locks which are to short to reach the black plastic "c" shaped retainer on top of the central rod.
When you turn the key they come to rest on top of the "c", hence the lid can be lifted straight off again!

Anyone know an answer?

Cliff,

The lid and black plastic segment must marry. You need to look at the other towers you have, find out which ones they fit and then find matching black segments.

It still shouldn't sit on top of the black c segment . If it actually turns the key there is something else wrong. The above posts are right you have to marry them up but they are close enough that the key shouldn't turn unless the clasp has gone down thru the c segment.
