maxi tubs

Post by tubzsnackz »

Is it worth the hassle self packing these pringles size pots due to their large size (storage etc) I can see it as being a pain and what products are you currently stocking in them? Cheers,

i do them and it offers an alternative line, especially now pringles only available in 6 flavours, cadburys mini fingers and cadburys chocolate animals, 2 bags in each pot.

I would agree with Ade but better than both those is Maryland choc chip cookies also available in the six pack (mini bags) for £1.
I get mine from Iceland as they sometimes do promotions on them at 75p.
mini fingers are good sellers but the animals aren't great unless you have them in a soft play area or equivalent site that has loads of kids.

Thanks for that guys, I took the plunge and got some empties. Are the choc fingers from Iceland too? where else is good to buy stock? and I have heard that you need to load some clemporte machines with the tubs upside down, anyone know which machines give problems? eg plastic barrel, metal barrel? is it obvious within a couple of vends?
Thanks,

Yeah Simom, I buy the Hurleys mega pot for 12.5p +VAT.
You can get the maxi tub for slightly less but as they are tapered and have lids that sit proud of the pot hence they jamm in the older (metal Barrel) Clenports.
Maxi tubz vending are fine for the newer plastic barrel clenports, but I find it easier to keep my old clenports in reliable service by spending a couple of pence extra and getting the Hurleys pot.
Did you get the lid to open on that tubz vending tower in the end??

Hi Nigel,
Ok, so the metal barrel is the problem one, Thanks, good to know. If you put them upside down they work in them too though I seem to remember reading about it ages ago? I'll try experimenting!

Not got that other key yet, think it`s still in the post!

Ok so Maxi tubz vending are only any good in Clemportes with Black plastic solid type barrels I find. Turning upside down does not help in clear or black or metal thin barrel types. They still occasionally jam. Can anyone comment if this is true please or which machines will they will work upside down in if any. Thanks,
Simon.
