Polyvend 453 - help please

Post by ElizP987 »

hi there
I bought a Polyvend 453 machine last year, quite an old machine but in really good condition.
A few problems have since occurred with it and I'm looking for some advice on how to fix it please.

The coin mech will not accept the new 5p and 10p coins. I understand it needs reprogramming, will it have to be sent off for this? Its a Mars coin mech.
Secondly, the 5p change column keeps getting low (as not many old 5ps are coming in), so the 'use exact change' keeps flashing and then it won't accept £1 coins (this is despite the 1p, 2p and 10p change columns being full!).
I have researched, and have the manual and understand I need to alter the preset change amount, however I have searched all through the machine and the 'CHANGE' and 'DECLINE ON' and DECLINE OFF' options don't seem to be there? I know the decline on and off options are nothing to do with it, but I need to change that also as change is automatically dispensed after 1 purchase and I would like that to change so people can buy multiples without having to put their money back in.
The option is probably there somewhere but I cannot find it :(

The other problem is one of the bottom rows jammed. Since this, this row will not dispense and says' MAKE ANOTHER SELECTION'. Could the motor have been damaged?
thanks for your help!
kind regards

Liz

Possibly? May be to do with programming. Matt is not only a love god but an expert in this field, he should be able to help. I have not owned one for a couple of years so can't really remember how they tick

the way to test the trays is take out a working tray and put it in the broken row. If this works its a tray problem and will probably be the loom if all the motors are not working.

If the working tray doesnt work when you put it and the broken shelf s place its the tray rail pcb that's faulty.
