Help....

Post by Big Chris »

Hi there,

Ive had an unususal request put to me.

I have a sweet tower in some student halls,i was filling it this afternoon and have been asked if i can come up with a way to vend washing powder and fabric conditioner, as they have an inhouse laundrette.

Owner of the halls has said £1 is too much, so can i come up with something in the 10p or 20p range for each vend.

Any ideas would be great, not sure what i could do?

Cheers,
Chris

You can buy a machine that vends both made specifically for a laudrette. Have seen them come up on ebay occasionally. Alternatively how about putting some wash tablets/powder in a pot and the change from a pound in or on the pot with a notice explaining? This way you can vend at anything less than a pound.

Very spooky.

But yes £400 is a bit more than i was hoping.

I was thinking is there no way i could fill a bulk up with washing powder, and vend it at 20p?

Then for the fabric conditioner i could use a old liav or something, but just change the coin acrrier to 20p also?

I dunno just thinking of inexpensive ways at the moment, as i won't make a huge amount on it, but it may be worth doing.

chris simple answer is no you cant do it as you only do confectionary vending. you wont make any money out of whats been suggested, if they up for £1 tub then go for it, anything less leave well alone  i get loads of sites ask me can i do this can i do that, first question is can you make money from it? if answers no then tell them no.

Apart from storing more money in the machine is just asking for more trouble.
