towers jamming

Post by Ade »

Hi all, just some advice if your towers are jamming of late then i may have the answer, check the bottom of your tubs for excess plastic sticking out. this is causing the tub to sit too high when dropped into barrel on a vend, causing barrel to catch on next tub. discovered it a few times now. suppliers maybe you could speak to who makes pots to make them aware of it?

Regards

we have noticed ourselves the nipple issue and are dealing with it at source. Its an issue from the portugues pots. Its worth checking by running finger along bottom just to be sure. Our new pot which is virtually ready to go has a dome ala tubs in the bottom

Glen thanks for the quick reaction to this.

It is more than one supplier.

been told its not us which is nice to know but all self packers and lots of companies use the "kit macquinas" portuguese pot which is lovely and clear but recently has had an extrusion occasionally on the bottom which has to be snipped off. EAsy to do but something to wathc out for.

Yeh, a bit of a pain but I've been nipping them off every tub.
I'd imagine some sort of belt sander lying down would be a quick way for you to whizz them off in volume.
