Hi Matt,

What companies did you buy?

I lost a lot of money a couple of years ago in crypto currencies, I think now is a good time to buy into traditional markets if you have a long term plan, that 1000 down at the moment will not be the case in a few years you should be up a good amount.

My neighbour is a financial advisor and he told me the big 4 banks are good buys right now with hardly any risk compared to traditional companies

I like the look of Starbucks and Tesla since there drop but not sure if they have rallied since

Cheers

Ross

Hi Matt,

Be careful with Banks!

For example, Debenhams is on the verge of administration, might even happen over the coming days..... Debenhams owe Barclays and a couple of other Banks a fortune..... and that is but one company..... how many companies are going to go to the wall? How long is a piece of string? Tread carefully.

Only people making money just now is energy, supermarkets and Sky Tv etc

I bought 25 plus different c companies, diversifying I believe is the phrase.

Easy jet, carnival could pay off well but SIG group are selling at 10% of value 3 months ago so worth a punt.

I buy shares all the time. Im heavily into Lloyds bank and they have halved in value since the Covid outbreak. 30p a share now with a divi return, though probalby not this year now of over 10%. If you want a safe bet though most share accounts (stocks and shares ISA are best, Halifax is really user friendly) will let you invest in funds. Any FTSE fund should see a 15% rise once this **** is out of the way.

I invest indirectly into stocks and shares via pension funds. I like the idea of the government adding 25% to your contributions.
