Re: What do you use to carry sweets sweets and cloths onsite when restocking a tower?

I too go into site and record what I need then return to the van which is racked out and has all boxes accessible. I load whAt I need into an empty sweet box and return and fill up. There are a couple of sites where its a pain as you have to walk quite a way but the vast majority no issues I use a ...

Re: insurance

Do you mean public liability or more comprehensive insurance? I recently renewed my PLI with Maltings as bodily injury excess is zero and other excesses are only £100.

I use a plastic storage box and just group the sweets together by brand when loading it, if you use a fairly big one you can also fit Pringles in it or stack the extra trays on top

Outdoor hospitality

I've asked a few sites to bring the machines outside if the weather is ok and heard of a few people doing the same but some places it's not feasible or not worth it for the amount of seating they have. Also while ok for Pringles/toys it's a bit of a gamble for sweets if the sun is out and there's no...

Re: Hi everyone

Hi ScotVend welcome to the forum and well done for getting a vending business started during lockdown, has to be the most difficult time in any operators career so things can only get better from here  In terms of the site finding, if you haven't already, write yourself a script and memoris...

Good to see the forum fixed, well done for getting it sorted  Don't mean to be picky but is there a dark mode option? Having difficulty seeing members names.

Re: Is anyone working

Nothing much happening in the north east for me since we went tier 2 in mid-October when the tier system was announced. The government changed the rules here on 18th September even before the tier system was introduced but it was the 'one-household rule' they brought in when we entered tier 2 that r...

The forum still works and you can log in as normal

Just a brief message to anyone browsing the forum and wondering what's going on: the text you can see at the top of the page is just debug messages from the web hosting company caused by them updating the PHP version on their server. It's a little inconvenient maybe but just scroll past the messages...

Re: Contactless Vending

Certainly wouldn't put them into some pub out in the boondocks doing £20 a month but in high volume sites they could be worth the investment especially if it's possible to retrofit the unit to existing machines and keep the costs down. Worth considering the age demographic in the site also as I woul...

Re: Contactless Vending

No probs. Contactless is definitely the future and a very convenient way of upping the sale price by small increments without having to change coin carriers/mechs. Although I won't personally be investing in new machines at present because the economic situation is still uncertain because of Covid I...
